Telling Stories.
...one city at a time!
Prop 8 Films has begun a nation-wide tour. We are taking our message on the
road to cities across the country so we can continue to build a lasting
community as Prop 8 Films develops stories around issues that impact
people's lives.
The entire team at Prop 8 Films thanks you in advance for your support in
our mission to educate, enlighten and motivate individuals to achieve a
deeper understanding of Proposition 8 and same-sex marriage. Tickets
purchased for the event and all monies raised at the event will go directly
towards the making of this important film (and are fully tax-deductible!!).

San Diego: October 16, 2009
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us at our Prop 8
Films San Diego Fundraiser. Special recognition goes to Universal
Hillcrest for hosting our event. Fans got a sneak peak at our latest
trailer (which will be online soon!) and had an interesting Q&A session
with the filmmakers. Many supporters also shared their views on our
confessional camera. The highlight of the night was a spectacular
performance by Rhythm Turner, a local San Diego singer-songwriter
who gave a moving, soulful performance, which included a cover of Tracy
Chapman's "Revolution." Thanks San Diego!
San Francisco: July 28, 2009
The 2nd fundraiser on our nation-wide tour was another great
success in San Francisco. Co-owners Elizabeth Falkner and Sabrina
Riddle hosted the event at their incredible restaurant Orson
(http://www.orsonsf.com/). Guests enjoyed fabulous food, a
sneak peak at the documentary, and heard from 2 other
filmmakers creating similar films. Some also shared their
views with us on camera about Prop 8, love, marriage and
equality. Prop 8 Films thanks all of our guests,
sponsors,
colleagues and friends for joining us to support the making of
our documentary on marriage equality!

Los Angeles: May 26, 2009
Our Los Angeles fundraiser was a huge success! As fate would have
it, the event - scheduled months in advance - fell on the Day of
Decision, the day the California Supreme Court upheld Prop 8.
Needless to say, there was incredible energy at The
Abbey Food and Bar, the renowned West Hollywood landmark where
the event was held. The night featured an incredible performance by Ferras, a sneak peak at the
documentary and a silent auction with some very rare items (Marc
Jacobs Handbag, Beastie Boys '80s original photograph, Samuel
Moyer Furniture 3-legged stool original).
We thank all of our sponsors for
their generous support as well as all of our friends in our
hometown of Los Angeles. Click for party pics!
